Mission Summary
Five maggots stepped forward to join SCUL this mission. Two of them were reporters for a local newspaper known as the Boston Globe. The evening was a standard issue SCUL mission if there ever was one, save for the lack of mechanicals (only one!). Maggot now known as Squid took photographs while enjoying a free ride in the basket of USB StreetSweeper, SCUL's trike. The mighty maggot now known as Ghengis earned himself a medal of Strength pulling Squid around for the entire 13 light year mission. Maggot known as TheBomb destroyed two full notepads with SCUL misinformation. We had some flybys in constellations, a stop for ice cream molecules, a derby or two… standard SCUL rations of fun.
Upon returning to base we found Pikachu aboard his new to be christened ship. Apparently he had piloted it forty light years from Galaxy ME (some of the journey was aboard a bus transport) only to miss the launch window by half an hour. After repairs to the unchristened craft on Sunday he returned to Galaxy ME on another 40 light year journey, five of which were on a flat thruster. We'll post a full report on the site eventually. (of course we need a summary form Pikachu). For his efforts he receives the third Intergalactic Medal SCUL has ever issued, as well as a promotion to Lieutenant.
Congratulations to Pikachu!
Expect to see a story on SCUL in the Globe Sunday. Hats off to Bomb, Squid and Ghengis.
