Folicular Commutation
As the season passes and cosmic winter makes way for a new celestial spring, the Starchasers have respond to request from the Great Follicular Overlord, Duchess Wigmaster. She is hosting a celebration of life and new growth and requires foliculation to complete a new hairpiece to wear to the ball. Therefore, we have been assigned to fly into greenspace, trimming our lip whiskers to satisfy her affinity for luscious flocculence.
At the start of the mission, the launchpad was abuzz with mustachioed star pilots, excited to see each other again after a long off-season. After making some minor adjustments to their ships and their 'staches, the crew formed ranks, and the Division Admiral began the mission briefing. Soon, it was time to embark on our journey. As we approached our first checkpoint, the mission leader gave the order for "Silent Running." We engaged cloaking devices, activated sonic camouflage, and silently entered the airspace of the pocket-dimension of Haskell Gardens. Space walking along the star path, making sure to respect the floral lifeforms, the light from our laser hull-plating danced across the landscape and illuminated the darkness.
We continued on to the Lunar Clasky Park, where we deployed chalk bag, adorned the planet's surface with delightful messages of love and encouragement, and grooved to some funky tunes. The FTL Starfire, flagship of the Starchasers fleet lost power to life-support systems and sonic disruptor array. Thankfully, Redbeard and Firefly offered Gemini's back-up warpcore and we were able to proceed to our final destination, on a wave of auxiliary posifunkitude.
Skirting the perimeter of the Octopus Constellation, we arrived at the Lunar Wings Court, yet another pocket-dimension at the heart of the dNB quadrant. There, we stickered some alien lifeforms, danced among the stars, and took some time to smell the flowers and reflect on how far we've come over the last orbital - the challenges we've overcome, struggles we've shared, and our collective growth - as we move forward into the future.
