Robyn's Egg
The second mission of 1999 was fun. We started late, as usual. Our first checkpoint was MIT. Unfortunately we didn't make it there without incident: a mechanical and an encounter with a tie transport. No big deal on either account.
At MIT there was some kind of show going on. Most of us didn't go in. We allowed a few civilians to fly the ships for a while and we were on our way.
On the way NoWayRay stopped and gave some homeless people some warm clothing. Shortly after we found a primary thruster that matched the specicfications for SDV FunkMasta, a badly needed item, since the primary thruster currently in use was the wrong size and the brake pads were only touching the rim on the very tips.
We rode through the Chinatown System to Space Station Belair. We arrived at 30-12 earth time, pretty late in the night. After hauling the ships up four flights of narrow stairds we had arrived. Merriment engaged.
After a few hours we decided to be on our way. As we picked up our ships off the floor the civilians became more interested. We wound up having a little indoor derby for a while before we left.
On the wasy home more techichals were encountered. This time with SDV FunkMasta. A quick fix. One more stop to drop off more clothed at copley and we rode back to Fort Francdis to conclude what turned out to be a long mission. 30-4 was not too late to promote and share stories, however!
Nails, Skunk and MegaSeth recieved BADDVIPS medals of strength for carring their huge ships up the perilous stairs.
