Mission Summary

Pre-Mission Activities:

Two maggots were recruited into SCUL,
SpeedMetal and Smasher (not to be confused
with Smash). There was one christening,
SDV Groovlactica - the third and final ship in
the Trilogy of Funk, which quickly gained a
reputation as the funkiest ship in the fleet.

The Mission:

Having decided against the annual Marco Polo
ride, the fleet set out from Ft. Berkeley
towards the Davis constellation. Stopping at
Grendel's Fort for batteries and to eject
space molecules, we learned of his plight
fighting a space alien. After sympathizing for
a bit, the fleet headed toward the Harvard and
Central constellations, where we received an absurd
number of high fives.

Crossing the Charles nebula, the fleet
proceeded down the Commonwealth Starpath. An
overburdened space transport full of civilians
took note of the fleet and offered verbal
support.

The fleet stopped to derby in a parking lot,
where some spectators gathered.
ViciousSquirrel cut his derby teeth by quickly
dispatching most of the fleet in seconds. In
the second derby, Maddog suffered a core
meltdown and had to be towed to the sidelines
by spacewalking medics.

The fleet decided to call it a night, and
headed back to Ft. Berkeley, stopping at a
Luna 7-11 fuel center along the way.
