Mission Objectives

Luna Rovics in Jamaica Plain system

Mission Summary

A small battalion, thirteen this mission. With NoWay navigating aboard USB SkyLab we set off for Luna Rovics in the Jamaica Plain System. Two new ships were ready for christening, however the launch pad was swarming with imperial activity. Despite the ST being more than friendly to us, we reluctantly decided to leave orbit with the ships unchristened. The Allston System proved more suitable for our ceremony, and ViciousSquirrel's RAW Rabies and Diva's FPS ToxicWaste were properly added to the fleet.

rom there we enjoyed a fairly technical route to the Jamaica Plain System, through Rotaries, bridges and construction, with a quick stop at the Jamaica Nebula. Upon arrival at Luna Rovics we were gruffly confronted by the owner of the establishment, giving us the firm impression the likes of bikes were not welcome. This was odd, for Skunk has met and talked with the man not three days before, and seemed to enjoy USB Catastrophe. For a moment Skunk contemplated the thought of leaving right then and there, but decided to pay homage to Bonnie, for she was to relocate to the other side of the galaxy.

After a brief stay we decided to get back to what we do best, riding. a quick roundup (the owner told some of us we could not sit on the sidewalk, so some pilots were down the street), we launched. Lashotka, member of SCUL for a few years ago was at the party and decided to float with us for a while. We derbied at the Museum Of Fine Arts, a vast battlefield which could allow for high speeds. Most seasoned derbiers knew that speed was not a winning factor in derby and kept it reasonable, but Lashotka was having a lot of fun on CCT Singularity, and was tearing up some serious asphalt until he finally lost friction and wiped. Two more derbied ensued, NoWay won enough of them to get the Flying Ace Award (win five derbies in a season).

From there we set course for home, with a quick stop at the store for refueling and to pick up a copy of the Boston Globe, for there was an article in SCUL in it.

On the way home Skunk lost his temper with a couple of pieces of food who had yelled some negative comments about us. SCUL caught up with them at the light and Skunk offered to beat the crap out of them at no charge. They declined. This left the crew feeling down, and Skunk apologized to SCUL for his behavior.

We returned to Fort Berkeley without incident.
