Mission Summary
This day marked Skunk Day, but Skunk decided to use this day to complete the Century ride that had been previously postponed. It takes discipline, perseverance, and some tunes on radiobox to make this mission work. 12 pilots were up for the challenge: Mucas, WalTor, Skunk, Diva, PigPen, RumbleFish, Vomit, NoWay, Sparky, LoJack, Maddog, and Moose. The course was set to flyby some of our favorite constellations and deep space zones. The fleet navigated through The MinuteMan Bikeway in good spirits stopping at Fort Crescent and Luna Barnstormers to dump fuel. Waltor and Diva then navigated the fleet through Lexington and Arlington back to the fort for brief resting. At this point, we were a 3rd done with the century. By 17 hundred hours we returned to our ships and headed through the Allston and Boston systems. Two floaties joined in on the ride from the Kenmore constellation to the Watertown System.
The fleet managed to survive with little mechanical difficulties, but the mission was not without casualty. Diva was having palpitation issues after 20 light years and deeply desired to rid herself of a few earth molecules from Luna Barnstormers. She kept on until she had traveled 60 light years when, after finally purging herself of a few molecules in the Newton system, she decided it best to let the fleet finish without her.
The fleet continued on to Luna IHOP for refueling. They then continued through the Jamaica Plain system to Castle Island where a few pilots removed their spacesuits despite the chilly weather. After 18 hours, 9 of the original crew finished their 100 mile journey with a new appreciation for bananarama. Celebration of the feats took place over some donut molecules in the wee morning hours.
