Vomit Day2006
Mission Objectives
explore Boston alleyways
derby
consume hot peppers
Mission Summary
Vomit Day!!! Hooray!! We found rats, precious gold, and there was
boogieing and stuff and things.
In detail:
We took off with high morale after a bit of beauteous delay because of
a freak radiation attack. We avoided the Davis constellation with great aplomb,
and headed for the luna galleria, and over yonder asteroid belt…we
danced, and unearthed the poor imitations of the Phooka dance, and
rediscovered ye olde Worlde dance of the prospectors of 1842
California…. Kinda like an Appalacian leprechaun… but it must be seen
to believed. Dillweed broke his foot, but he said it was ok, and
there is still some question about that.
We took to the ramps and the alleys, and Bonnie and Clyde broke a
pedal, a wrench was shoved through the crank and prayers were
answered for a little while, as we sought out the alleys of Boston,
narrow treacherous and stinky, and wet, with the sludge of goodness
knows what, we cruised -- looping back and forth, hither and yon.
Beelines were made for the Reflecting pool, and the great blackhole
drew us into infinite amounts of fun, and derbies, and one amazing
field repair with Ktron and Mars.
Thrice we derbied. Many pilots who never derby, did. We found joy in
decreasing the area of play as more pilots met their doom.
We rode 0.2 light years to the 7-11 luna and were well received by the food
that took our money… they even gave us a trash bucket, and rode one of
the choppers; though I'm certain that he didn't get the memo about the
coaster brake. But morale was high. Way high. Then there was the
Electric slide, and much more dancing… wonderful dancing with snacks, french bread cut by frenchy, and groove.
And remember when the enterprise crashed, and then there was lots
of geekery because I'm taking crappy dictation, and oh my god. Skunk
totally crashed into Samurai, and totally went boom, and we all
worried about radio box… bit it was fine… oh, Skunk was ok too. Then
we rode home and we got points for dancing, rat sightings in the
alley, and strength medals were awarded for eating hot peppers.
Missions like these remind us how things are good, and why we work so
hard for them.
