Mission Objectives

Complete first intergalactic mission to the Bangor System of the Maine Galaxy.
Rendezvous with RCD SCUL

Mission Summary

NoWayRay aboard 90lb USB EzRaider and Skunk aboard 100lb USB Catastrophe departed from Fort Berkeley on Sunday October 2nd at 12:30 PM. They were accompanied by MegaTron aboard his civilian fixed gear. This was the embarkment of a landmark mission: the first intergalactic chop. Destination: the Bangor system in Galaxy ME, home of the Rural Combat Division of SCUL and the Junkers, spawn of SCUL.

As the light of the Boston system faded off our six, the g-well activity increased. Fortunately the ships has been outfitted appropriately. We reached Galaxy NH in the first day. The ships were swift and our star maps worked well. We were at MegaTron's brother Sam's space station by nightfall. We stationed there for the evening. The morning fog was thick, we wrote our thank you note and set course for Eggies, a diner a ways up the road.

Breakfast there consisted of eggs, amongst other less important substances. MegaTron decided to continue onward with us for another half day, as far as the Lee Speedway. This was the day we realized our camera was malfunctioning. We packed it away for the rest of the trip. /r/nAfter departing from MegaTron we pressed onward. We reached the Galaxy ME border on the second day, staying in Sanford, a quiet system. NoWay was sick with a strange alien virus, and Skunk was feeling a strange painful sensation in his legs and butt. A pizza and a good night's rest seemed to help both ailments.

Day three the G-Well activity increased. "Welcome to Galaxy ME - where every negi G-Well is a given and every posi G-Well is a blessing." At the top of Windham Hill Skunk could see many stars, unfortunately it was two in the afternoon. Eight hours of chopping brought us to the Lewiston System: The armpit of Galaxy ME. We docked at the Chalet, which we later found to be rumored as a child pornography center with a pool. Appropriately enough Skunk and NoWay loaded up on candy upon arrival as a reward for the hard work.

The local G-Well activity was high, even without our bags and RadioBox the engines strained to make it to the local merchants. Skunks sugar fuel quickly burned up, and his engines has an emergency meltdown at Luna Rite-Aid, and could barely shuttle his ship to dinner. Tons of Chinese fuel fixed everything. The cable TV was amazing in this System: A Batman marathon in the evening, a Chips marathon the next morning. Its gravitational pull was difficult to escape. We refueled at Governors in Lewiston, where the old timers really appreciated our ships.

The Lewiston to East Benton leg had higher G-Well activity than the previous three days. A malfunction in the NaviComp sent us onto Star Route 201 instead of 202, slightly off course but with poorer road conditions. We realized our mistake and corrected course. Unfortunately the new route led us through a deadly G-Well. NoWay Managed to escape, Skunk had to spacewalk it.

Space Station Doan was an extremely pleasant stop in the journey. A hot tub, a load of laundry, a great home cooked dinner, a beer or two, cake, and a good night's rest prepared us for the last leg.

The first half of the day was was wonderful, not much G-Well, and being so far away from major systems made space traffic minimal. Things worsened by the second half of the day. Heavy Logging Transports on Space Route 101 zoomed by us at 70mph with no shoulder and blind curves everywhere. Still it was better than our original plan of taking Space Route 202 the whole way. The G-Wells there may prove inescapable to our heavy ships.

We arrived to a hero's welcome at the edge of the Bangor System from RCD, and an escort to Fort Washington, where we promptly chilled.
