Chop Beach Rinse Repeat
Led by a skeptical Lordmcfuzz six doughty pilots set forth to enjoy the beach. In a nod toward last week's theme, the soundtrack was a compilation of Megaseth's renowned 80's mixes, provided by an mp3p0 that couldn't decide whether to shuffle or repeat. Five HARVs led by Threespeed on Dr Moreau formed an economical yet powerful strike force, and our sonic field was strong.
We zoomed by a circuitous route to a 7-11 where we encountered the Rashmasters' truck, which combines demolition services with a traveling museum of failed advertising concepts. "Gut Demo?" We were interrupted by a short mechanical caused by the vengeful ghost of Skylab haunting Iridium's rear hub. We also paused to lurk in an underpass, and chalk it up to the tune of a Trichopatops with a big beefy arm menacing a life size Volkswagen.
Then to Revere Beach where we observed strange formations in the stellar dust. There we ate beach fries and some had space fish. All food in this part of Earth was found to be ecru, off-white, or beige in color. "Salt" is unknown to the natives, nor was their "borbeku" sauce distinguishable from Earth ketchup. We hiked a light year to the low tide line, pitched a large beach umbrella and proceeded to build castles in the sand. Mission success! This done, we hastened to dump fuel and flee the freezing winds of Revere System.
We returned by way of the pleasant Northern Strand wormhole, interrupted only by a flat caused also by the the unresting malicious ghost of Skylab. Can we perform an exorcism on that hub? In other news, Macfuzz' new ship Eat My Shorts did fine.
Back in Somerville spacelanes, we dumpstered some grenades and checked out the new traffic patterns at Union Square, which are cramped, confusing, and potentially deadly. Recommended to patrol either in force and with tight discipline, or at late hours.
