So Long, And Thanks For All The Plasma Failures
Mission Objectives
- Consume ice cream molecules in the Davis Constellation.
- Break the news to Lady Davis and to Dyanna that they're all grown up now and are on their own.

- Visit some iconic locations of our stomping grounds, such as the Steaming Globe and the Grackle.
- Derby Derby Derby.
Mission Summary
All good things must come to an end, is it true?
I hear they might also threaten your plasma casings and your composure.
But they might make you wanna dance!

Sixteen pilots lined up to the Market Basket launchpad for the last [official] time.
(Let’s be real: this solar system isn’t going anywhere, and it is mighty full of forts.)
The Fleet Admiral and navi Bane led the crew outward at a funkadelic pace towards Davis.
Chastity’s navigational thruster suffered a plasma casing failure just prior to landing at JP Lick’s for ice cream molecules. Punchy set about correcting the failure with Flat Bag and some helpful hands.
Setting out again for … about twenty seconds … the crew landed by Skunk’s resident art in the former hull of a payphone.
Then Chastity suffered a SECOND plasma casing failure in the primary thruster.
Punchy took on the repair in great stride, with a couple hands and a dancin’ crew around.
Davis is clearly no place for Chastity.

Morale remained robust as the crew looped through the friendly skies and parking lots of a familiar system at an easy roll towards the Mystic and to our old haunt, the Grackle.
(The graffiti may change, but the barnacles haven’t moved.)
The Grack don’t disappoint.
There was CHALK, there was DANCING, there was GROUP PHOTOS, and then there was MORE DANCING. In chalk circles.
Swinging through Assembly on this fair night, the crew then made it to the parking lot of the Somerville System’s Stop-n-Shop.
(This is a retail food purveyor whose only distinction is being the most highway-accessible source of grocery particles in the system.)
Derby began robustly: seasoned vets and newbies alike took on each others’ thrusters and ribbons.
It was a well-played game, but for an unfortunate physical collision at the very end.
A cursed lot, it was concluded.

Onward, onward to the playground at Glen St, and to the industrial backside of the system via Inner Belt – daring the plasma casing gods, for sure – but looping the crew back to the launchpad to complete this farewell tour.
Among the familiar stars, among funk and failures, hi-fives and happy waves from known shores, the gang moves forward.
All good things must evolve!
