FLIGHT LOG, SCUL AIRLINES FLIGHT 1234
The clouds were heavy and radiation threatened, but departure of SCUL 1234 was only delayed by a half hour as we awaited the Fleet Admiral's arrival. Ten pilots arrived on the runway, and Flight Attendants AceHole and Antlers gave their best demonstration of the aircrafts' safety features. The passengers were informed that there are no exits at the front, no exits at the back, no exits over the wings, and in the likely event of an emergency, put your head between your knees and kiss your bum goodbye.
The objectives: give the lowest ranking pilot (the mercifully lanky Ravensson) a "flight" on Cloudbuster, no lost luggage, perform a Flying V formation, and spill as little dihydrogen monoxide from the cup affixed to Cloudbuster as possible.
The heavy radiation dampened our hulls but not our spirits as Dr. Claw navigated us on a smooth but technical flightpath through the friendly skies of Cambridge and Somerville Systems, with small delays when some aggressive transports cut the tail end of the fleet off in Harvard Constellation. The radiation made everyone's lasers look super posi. "I haven't seen them in a while," said a CBU by the Cambridge Library. "We're back!" someone shouted.
We stopped to refuel at the Luna 7-11 in Central Constellation, and Antlers gave some curious CBUs a tour of the ships as the radiation faded. Posi vibes and stickers all around!
Back in the air, flight attendants offered in-flight snacks to those who wanted them and could reach. After a few attempts at a Flying V formation in Cambridgeport only to have the flightpath proved too narrow, MIT Galaxy found the fleet enough airspace to execute the maneuver. a phalanx of cute space buns escorted a tricky flight through the winding paths of the galaxy.
On a layover in a parking lot in the Cambridge System, Leotard unfurled a parachute, and many pilots jumped into Mad Rabbit's cockpit to skydive. One bird whose legs are too short to reach Mad Rabbit's pedals chose instead to take pictures, and a fuzzy mammal slept instead. The fleet also lifted Ravensson and Cloudbuster off the ground for a short (VERY short) flight.
Flight 1234 then made its final departure for home, but arrival was delayed by an emergency landing to fix a Mjollnirechanical, requiring keen eyes and lots of lasers to spot the shards of space junk lodged in the thruster. No sooner had Leotard replaced the inner plasma casing for the first time, than it went asplode! That sneaky space junk! Tanager was practically asleep in the cockpit by the time the mechanical was fixed and requested a direct flight home.
As the sky threatened more radiation, Flight 1234 landed safely on the runway back in the home system. Ravensson was nominated for a Medal of Chic for his swanky flying outfit, complete with silk scarf. Leotard also got a medal for her parachute of awesome.
