Sail the Galactic Seas
Captain's Log:
Stardate 210424
I donned my captain's hat walking out to the launch pad to see a merry band of scallywag pilots who had heard the late call to action. We set sail 8 strong to set our eyes on the largest nebula we could find and examine the traditional vessels that traverse them, or at least a model. The fleet meandered our way through the Charlestown system where Stogie went after a rouge cup but inadvertently attempted a mutiny by clipping my primary thruster. Wadlow came crashing down, nearly on top of Gritty. The fleet regrouped but everyone was ok. We continued, stirred on by LordMcFuzz's life support of sea shanties to the Boston Harbor Nebula where we took shore leave and used the emplaced optical magnifiers to inspect the nearby nebular vessels. The visual transmissions we observed by BaneThunderWolf were so unexpected that everyone had to take a turn to see.
We set sail once again in search of more nebula faring vessels. We crossed the Charles asteroid belt on the temporary bridge which seems to be much friendlier to our ships than the old permanent one. Smooth sailing through the North End of the Boston system brought us to the model ship we were seeking. I boarded my vessel as some food approached and were in awe of our fleet. I should have convinced them to swab the decks for us but we gave them a sticker and sent them on their way. After a brief shore leave upon the waves we set sail for Portland.
Returning to the Cambridge system over the locks we made a quick stop to dump fuel and flew casual home.
Mission Success.
