We took up the mission tonight for a mellow friendly patrol after what had been a chaotic and tragic week in Boston and the surrounding Star Systems.
After some debate about whether to proceed with a mission, it was agreed that it was our call of duty to restore a smooth groove to the local orbital pathways. So we flew out proud and somber, to fight back the bad juju and recharge the star system mojo.
We flew through the Davis constellation, and a short detour through a wormhole in the Somerville System. As we passed back near Fort Tyler in the Union Constellation, Diva and Waltor unfortunately burned up on reentry.
Unshaken, we then headed into the Cambridge System, through the Inman Constellation where we encountered a civilian who had consumed too many molecules and was completely leveled upon seeing our fleet approaching. We stopped to help and she was star-struck but ultimately okay.
As we were heading to a secret hideout under a large Hyperspace Byway, our entire battalion got sucked into a black hole, where Skunk suddenly found himself both in front of the navigator and behind the tailgunner at the same time. Luckily he survived, but he is being treated for minor spacetime trauma. On the flight back through the Kendall System we turned off our sonic disruptors to observe a moment of silence for Officer Collier, a victim of the previous week's events.
We were relieved to complete a short and successful mission, the pilot comraderie strong as ever. We finished the night with some unwinding at the fort to the sounds of BaneThunderSAX.
