Mission Summary
Life is hard. Everything is pretty much the worst. This was a stressful, difficult week just about like every other stressful, difficult week. But we have each other and some choppers and a playlist, and we can go to space and fly around all crazy like moths that can't find their way into the zapper, and by golly it's got to be enough to go on with, for one more week.
By ways and means eight pilots, aging maggot 2Lucky, and Ziqqurat's guest Rewe gained entry to our half-moved fort. Luckily Diva was able to find the lightswitch, so we could find bags and get a couple of fleet ships out of mothballs, and pretty soon it started to look like a mission.
After a curious soliloquy on the launchpad, we began a fantastic voyage into the ineffable, immanent world of Stogie's mind. With wild haptonic gyrations we approached Back Bay, delayed somewhat by Stogie getting a navigational flat (in a rankly odorous location), and then disintegrating his (already sketchy) cargo assemblage. We continued as the playlist leapt from funk to trance to noise to new wave to robot beeps...do we understand this? do we need to? is there more to life than understanding?
We zoomed many alleys, enjoying the acoustics and strange accoutrements of the natives, and cresting intense g-waves where they returned to normal space. At the MFA we BOOPed a HUGE TERRIFYING BABY HEAD and then got the heck out of there like anyone sane. Nobody needs a baby that size, and I don't trust the expression on that thing one bit.
Turning back toward the fort we enjoyed pleasant sailing by the river, then a much-needed shore leave at the pump track, where Diva pumpkinated. We did a little show and tell and refreshed ourselves with beer molecules and (courtesy of Threespeed) raspberry sparkle unicorn slices. I may never eat again. At this point our yayas had been released and we returned to the fort for a quick close and some awesome pins. No medals were accepted, and thus we returned to the general lousiness of everything.
Thanks Stogie! It's been a fresh perspective...sorry gotta go right now this antibiotic I'm taking for Lyme exposure is rude on the GI tract and isn't that pretty much life as we know it.
