Onward we chopped, some pilots, fatigued called for unsavory snacks
which slaked our healthy appetite for molecules. Met with enthusiastic
approval of the waiting food, stickers were ably distributed by
babymaggot Medico and pilot Vesper was refueled on banana and choclit
molecules.
Tanks full, we buzzed MIT's granulate-student housing and took in a
scenic tour of Cambridgeport, SCUL ruled those planets. Next it was
time to brave the crossing of the Charles asteroid belt where we sadly
bade
Kpafun farewell and soldiered into high velocity plasma toward the
Allston system. There were scary transports, SCUL kept its cool and
landed safely in the lower system Allston. A brief shore leave
afforded
time for ship-swapping and let the Navi sneak off to her space station
to retrieve access codes to our destination.
The residents of Allston welcomed the fleet as we labored amongst the
transports of planet Harvard, after a brief fly-by we were off to our
rendezvous with the forge in Bldg 4. Crossing past luna CSX we busted
some serious funk as we approached the last significant G-well of the
evening, cruising down the posi-side to re-cross the AB Charles.
With the fleet halted for transport semaphores, Skunk came to our aid
and ran interference testing the bridge over the great slow nebula to
be sure the bridge was safe for the fleet.
Again we traversed Cambridgeport. The food continued to adore SCUL and
we sailed without incident to the evenings destination. Arf a transom
was constructed and some slick Gegaws as well. Success!
Fadm Skunk's pumpkin time approached and we saddled up for a final leg
of the evening, our numbers dwindling somewhat as we made a massive
parade the length of planet Hampshire. Skirting the constellation of
Davis with the aid of Threespeed and Pywacket, we successfully found
3R1C4's and fondly bid Skunk goodnight; meeting his pumpking-turning
time with scant seconds to spare.
With Threespeed's continued aid we ran a low-g-well path back to Fort
Joy, landed, counted, laughed and eventually parted ways, some sore,
some tired, all successful.
All hail the mighty funk of SCUL.
