Southern Exposure (Century 04)

Mission Summary

Yaaaah! We took the CommuterBail to Middleboro and flew along the south shore. The gwell was pretty brutal but the scenery was nice and the civilians gave us a warm welcome. 12 pilots started the mission together and 11 finished. FortFerry offered BBQ refueling which kept morale high. We suffered a couple mechanicals including two plasma casing failures and a tacoed thruster. RoadRash had tried to mount SkyLab and the wheel folded right up. There was concern that we would have to lose another pilot. Luckily Skunk used some brute force to put it back into alignment, and made it truer than it had ever been! We continued on the way towards CastleIsland. With record timing we met up with reinforcements at Castle Island. There was celebration, then we returned to the fort together tired, butts chaffed, but in high spirits.
