They See Us Rollin’ (Unofficial Mission) (Day Mission)

Mission Summary

The Starchasers joined the 4th Annual CommUNITY Roll Out. Our flight from Fort Union to the Buttonwood Constellation under the Day Star was lovely. We arrived early to the Roll Out site, an unusual phenomenon indeed. So, we decided to fly around our old airspace for a while, greeting civilians who stopped to gaze upon our ships in awe and delight. Life support systems were on full and the intergalactic posifunkitude was high. Finally, it was time to settle down on the secondary launchpad to prepare for the event. The CommUNITY Roll Out invites all non-powered wheels, including bicycles, roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, strollers, and little red wagons. So, the procession was slow going. It was time to practice parade tactics. Flying spacecraft under those conditions is challenging to say the least but we had fun in the attempt. Finally, upon returning to the dNB Quadrant, the Starchasers departed the formations with the intent to rendezvous at the New Moon Dance Party Roller Disco, which was a lot of fun. With our objectives completed but our route incomplete, we claim this a mission failure. That’s okay. We had fun and learned lots. Hopefully, we’ll be better equipped for our next parade style mission.
