CCT Axiom wa designed to set a new standard in SCUL building technology. An additional head tube welded to the front of the existing hull allowed to extend the ram without raising the hull. This would allow smaller pilots to get that "big ship" feeling without the need for a step stool.
Unfortunately this was considered a failure in the chief engineer's opinion, due to poor handling characteristics.
