Holi-Daze

Mission Summary

It's Christmas In July... In October! Pastry Queen has been in a whirlwind daze lately, so this week it was catch-up time for all the missed holidays of the year. Happy Arbor Day! Merry Armistice! Joyous Evacuation Day! This evening we were joined by stellar babymaggot Hyde, who gracefully piloted a H.A.R.V. for her very first mission. Lordmcfuzz navigated us deep into the Somerville System, where many lesser-traversed backstreets were visited.
* Pastry Queen introduces Hurtin' Fer Certain, a chopper she built several years ago but which had never been properly christened, and delivers a moving tribute to her father
* Christmas Tree formation along the deserted Memorial Drive (Flying V + a trunk)
* Shore leave at Davis 7-11 where S.N.A.X. were procured and shared
* Moose celebrates Shark Week with some fruit snacks
* More shoreleave at the old Powder House, where Pastry Queen shared a delicious chocolate glutard-friendly wedding cupcake, and promptly dropped its floofy icing in a pile of dirt and leaves. We dusted it off, lit it on fire, and sang happy birthday to SCUL. Happy SCUL Day! Pilots took turns each having a bite.
* Happenstance was dubious of the existence of a monument to the ancient Pickle Godz, but an appropriate sacrifice was made after witnessing its splendor, in commemoration of International Pickle Day.
* Pilots shared stories of family holiday rituals.
* Fuel dump at Moose's fort in the Magoun Constellation
* Next stop at the Cambridge Common, where Snow and Tango shared festive libations, and a tree was decorated with used Tree Bags
* Tango teaches Hyde the SCUL march, and she masters it on the first try
* Mission winding down, but pilots have more ya-yas to get out, Mcfuzz wiggles us through the Harvard Business School and adjacent labyrinth of footpaths
* Back to base, where Pastry Queen declares mission success

* Medal of Chic to Tango for the festive costumes and Hyde for clever Thanksgiving-appropriate outfit
