Operation

Tomorrow is Yesterday is Today

The Starchasers, reinvigorated by a successful first mission, prepared their ships for a hopeful expedition through the New Bedford System in search of redeemable false metals. However, unbeknownst to our intrepid explorers, a powerful force was manifesting around Fort Jonathan. The gods of mischief were afoot and the events that followed would forever remind our brave heroes - "Bad biscuits make the baker broke, yo!"

In this episode, Sage and Civitron were joined by Ashera and the once-believed-long-lost cadet Paddington, who has been reborn, Walden! Hoping to make a good first impression, new recruit, Ashera arrived bearing unsavory gifts and wrangled molecules.

Soon after launch, our crew was swept up in a swirling chromasonic whirlwind which left them stranded at the port of Luna UGLY in the historical Lux Ceta Quadrant. Apparently, they had activated a distress beacon which we were lucky enough to intercept. There, Artemis was pirated by a surprisingly skilled civlian and chalk bag was deployed and the funk was busted with much success! Once the crew had sufficiently made merry, it was time to shove off once again into the great unknown.

Suddenly, gremlins from a cluster of orbital debris nested in our intake manifolds, dampening our sensor array and sending our crew once again into the vortex. It must have tripped us into some kind of time warp for when we emerged thankfully unscathed, we had found ourselves only 1.5 Earth hours from our original launch time...

At the dock, we pondered the significance of this rare space anomaly and determined that it was a fate we never wish to revisit and Paddin--I mean, Walden recited a poem that he writ:

"Funk & Fire"

Traversing the dark,
shouting "Bust a Funk" as we
pedal personaes—

Echoing each their
own safe return, not to home
but a self yet found—

May our ship's glow pale
in comparison to the
fire which propels us.

Luciem Diffundo!

Lacking the appropriate accessories for a proper knighting, we made due with the glowing fork of Artemis and dubbed this fine eloquent cadet, Walden, pilot of SCUL! It was a sight to behold, indeed. Sadly, there is no visual log of this night. Did it ever happen? Were we all just victims of some diabolical plot concocted by some malevolent race of intergaltic tricksters? Or was it fate calling us home? We may never know.
