Mission Summary
There are those that live to tell the tale of betamission 2008, and then there's everyone else. This day mission started out with clear skies and high spirits, and Walt0r's navigational prowess, combined with Diva's sniper sharp tailgunning kept all pilots in line for the journey to the Waltham system. There was a fueling and grumbah stop in Cambridge, and then an interesting turn of route with some rad g-well activity and general festiveness watching earth hu-mans partaking of their midday activities.
SCUL descended in style upon the Charles River Museum of Industry and quickly undertook playing with everything in sight. A great time was had, and many a snack were consumed. Before ejecting into space, a few pilots regaled the crew with their talents going head to head against the player piano.
Re-launch was delayed by heavy radiation, but after waiting for a lighter patch we made a break for it to Fixie's place where she threw down some most impressive fuel for the slightly soggy pilots (thanks Fixie!).
This time waiting for radiation subsidence was impossible, so the lot of us braved the elements in order to return to base. The trip was rather long, mechanical ridden, and arduous, and we lost a few pilots along the way due to ship failure and pilots being frozen in carbonite. It was intense, but the party struck on!
Grooving as much as soaked, we returned to the Somerville system to dry off and enjoy tasty tasty fuel capsules back at the fort.
