Spokesfest Civilian Escort
We met for an early launch. Heavy radiation and even comets were
forecasted. But we had promised to offer civi escort for Spokesfest
so we decided to brave the elements. As we met on the launch pad, it
immediately started to change from light to heavy radiation. We
donned our radiation suits while Treekiller christened Lorax. Then we
heaed to the union constellation to see if any civi's dared remain for
our ride. As it turned out, they did. Upon arrival we had a brief
discussion with an ST about sonic disrupters. Given that it was not
even 2100 hours on a Saturnight on a Somerville System sponsored
event, we were a little caught off guard. But we complied with their
request and headed to other areas. Excess led the fleet through the
Porter, Harvard and Central Constellations in the more sonic disrupter
friendly Cambridge system. Off and on we encountered heavy radiation
and mini nebulas started to form on the planets. Still the civis
seemed to be enjoying themselves. We fueled up at Luna Seven11 and
then took a meandering way back to the Union constellation. At that
point the rest of us decided we were kind of tired and felt like
returning to the fort, so we all headed back to the fort to relax,
warm and dry off.
