Mission Summary

With just three weeks to go in this 2024 season, Excess led his bittersweet farewell mission before departing for the faraway Chicago System. At the outset, he decreed that all pilots must complete the mission without losing their towel. Those without their own towels were given a disposable towel to protect with their lives for the duration of the mission. Babymaggot Gouge and crawling maggots Lunar Wolf and Rebelmaker joined for the evening's journey. Navigator Ziqqurat briefly led us into the Brighton System before crossing back across the Charles Asteroid Belt and following it all the way to the Harvard Constellation.
*Wiggled up toward Porter Constellation and then back down toward Inman in search of a refueling station that was not open.
*Snax procured at boutique late-night Snaquerie near North Point
*Crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and into Charlestown System
*Through the Navy Yard and to the Bandsaw
*Assorted fish snax shared, including a giant carton of Goldfish, Blue Lemonade Swedish Fish, and actual smoked salmon
*Excess climbs to the top of the bandsaw with Swamp Thing, attracting the attention of a pseudo-ST
*ST warns us not to leave any cigarette butts around. Do any pilots even actually smoke anymore? Suddenly, 3 pilots are smoking?! I blame the power of suggestion.
*Pilots take turns testing Presto Change-O, mk. 7 and Pavement Princess
*Getting cold, Dr.Claw wants to go
*Pilots bundle up and depart
*Lunar Wolf takes a spectacular, hard fall under the bridge by Paul Revere Park
*North Point fuel dump station is "closed". Pilots get creative with nearby trees and bushes. That'll teach 'em
*Flying casual through East Cambridge, back to Central, across the Asteroid Belt, and back to base.
