Status: Success
Neon Chopper Syndicate
Mission Objectives
- Activate Nepenthes program by orbiting three black holes of magnitude 5 to disable the Black ICE guarding the payload
- Airgapped from the black holes execute Flying V into Wall into Wedge formation to unlock the backdoor
- Pick up the payload at address Luna 0x7/11 and copy it into our instanced avatars
- Return to the launch node, upon doing so our avatars will be scanned and the data uploaded to the target node as we transition back to meatspace

It was a dark night, with radiation streaking the western sky above the gritty streets of the Allston Zone. Our leader, Punchy, runner extraordinaire, had intercepted an encrypted packet with deets on one of the choicest payloads being sent over the BosCam City Grid in a million cycles. Tonight, SCUL would need to jack in to the network, disable the ice subroutines protecting it, and make a run on the hardened Lechmere server in order to score.
We set out after some late logins from runners Ziqqurat and Wombat. We'd need all the hands we could get to match the ice in our way, extract the payload, assimilate it into our avatars, and then make it back to meatspace unscathed. We set out via a transnebular uplink to the Cambridge Subnet and made our first move - derezzing a Black Hole subroutine (five times) at the core of the Harvard Netswitch. There were a few civilians that we surprised, but we charmed them (especially the small ones) and were on our way - into the Somerville Subnet.
We cruised over some familiar streets, in the vicinity of two former safehouses we'd had to ditch - Forts Tyler and Joy. Near the latter, we were able to successfully execute a Vee-Wall-Wedge transition, unlocking the approach to the next layer of barrier ice on the server - a significant G-well climb over the core GL-CR uplink mainline. With that done, we were able to make a run on the Lechmere server, and reach the BosCon subdrive and extract the payload. However, we had to make haste to the North Point safe zone to uplink the contents of the payload. And even then, we'd need to make it back to meatspace and cover our tracks by derezzing and rerezzing a couple more Black Hole subroutines. NetNav LordMcFuzz deftly led us to the first on our way out of the safe zone, and we were able to route our way to the PDW interlink system, which, while exposed, provided a direct route back to the Allston Zone. With one more Black Hole subroutine at the Harvard Netswitch Business Subnode, our tracks were covered and we were able to sucessfully re-enter meatspace, payload fully assimilated.
Punchy declared mission success - run complete, with full colors. Truck Stop was awarded a Medal of Builder for Clamity's first successful run without mechanicals.
