Mission Summary

At 20:11 time, the daystar will set at heading 297°: Can the fleet intecept?

Another Successful Mission Failure on the books! After the introduction of cadets Cinnamon Brulee and Enigma, the much anticipated reveal of the newest addition to the fleet by our venerable Fleet Admiral Skunk was at hand. It was glorious. The Admiral recounted the passion with which he built this masterpiece: pilots and cadets alike could see radiant glimpses of green from beneath the sheet as a cooling breeze swept through the atmosphere. As the sheet was thrown back the Daystar glittered brilliantly in the sky, reflecting a magnificent green beast.

With voluptuous, attractive curves, perfect geometry, subtle details, and an eye catching color scheme, it seemed like every pilot in the fleet had to clean up a little bit of their own drool. Christening the USB Syntax Error, giddy with anticipation, Skunk mounted his new ship, and off we went.

Through the pristine weather, Dr.Claw led us on a roundabout path to our destination at a machine pace, only stopping once for some small bits of liquid fuel. Rocket Bailed from 88 when a small moment of inattention brought him too close to the curb, and a small, invisible injury was added to his invisible injury lists, but he was able to continue riding without issue. He sure felt it the next day though.

Civies were joyous, able to both see and hear us from far off. There was lots of riding into the sunset, thank goodness for Joe Cool daymission goggles. At actual sunset, a critical miscalculation occurred, and while the timing was correct, the heading was about 15 degrees away from where we needed to be to see the sunset, a mere 5 degrees from success.

Spirits were still high as we stopped for a relaxing batch of ice cream molecules, and then we visited a giant molecule and lounged about for quite some time, leaving stickers, barnacles, and more as our mark. We gathered a few Klingons on the way and enjoyed the relaxing ride. The pilots of the mission were able to witness Skunk scoring his first cup points, as well as the ship's first SCUL handshake.

This was the maiden voyage of the much anticipated USB Syntax Error, a ship that is to usher in a new era for SCUL. Syntax Error performed beautifully as expected, with only a minor interruption in life support due to a loosening power coupling connection. Expect to see more daytime missions, and more medium and long range missions in the upcoming seasons.

SCUL took on two new exciting cadets - Cinnamon Brulee and Enigma. Both took to their roles well, and should be excellent additions to the gang. We also acquired two friendly Klingons, who may join us later as cadets too.

The civilian populous was especially friendly, and waves are the new contact-less hi-fives, so we got lots and lots of them.
