PDP Iron Butterfly
Sometimes you think of a name first and build a ship around it.
The fork extension is an adaptation of MegaSeth's quadrafork from the
classic BadMotivator. It is, in fact, another attempt to reproduce
the handling characteristics of the original BadMotivtor. It is just
as squirrelly at low speeds, but none too stable at warp either.
Iron Butterfly was built to cruise the playa at Burning Man
2006, so it originally carried dynamo-driven running lights.
Hull breach discovered after trailer-towing camping mission, the ship is too annoying to be worth fixing. Fork may show up on another ship some day.
